On Thursday, the 49-year-old woman was taken into custody in Centurion.

Her relatives may have been murdered by the suspect in order to collect insurance money.

Her son passed away in July 2023, her husband in 2016, and her two daughters in 2005 and 2015.

After a female relative mysteriously passed away in March at Mmabatho in the North West, investigations got under way.

At first, it was determined that the woman had died naturally.

According to Athlenda Mathe, a spokesman for the national police, the suspect fraudulently obtained insurance on her relative’s behalf before passing away.

” The team was able to connect its most recent suspect to the team’s initial focus of the case through analysis and evidence collection, including the exhumation of a body.” Investigations have revealed that the suspect has kept a sizable sum of money throughout her activities.

” Recognized detective Sergeant Keshi Mabunda is in charge of the investigation team. He solved the case of Rosemary Ndlovu, a serial killer who murdered her family members and profited from their life insurance policies.”

Following a tip-off from this suspect’s family, detectives have been working on this case for the past two months. Due to his expertise in resolving cases of a similar nature, Mabunda was enlisted to kick-start investigations.

On Friday, the suspect is scheduled to show up in the Mmabatho Magistrate’s Court.
