Gauteng Health Dept launches campaign to address healthcare workers’ attitudes

Campaign to address attitudes among healthcare workers is launched by the Gauteng Health Department.

JOHANNESBURG- Throughout the province, patients and their families have called the Gauteng Health Department hundreds of times to complain about the subpar care they receive.

In contrast to the 640 complaints lodged in the first quarter of 2023, the department claimed to have received 748 complaints.

In an effort to change the attitudes of healthcare professionals in medical facilities, it has decided to launch the” I Serve with a Smile” campaign.

Motalalatale Modiba, spokesperson for the Gauteng Health Department:

To ensure that we start to promote a more positive and humane approach, the campaign aims to encourage all healthcare professionals to approach their work with smiles, enthusiasm, empathy, and friendly demeanors.
