The man who works for the Department of Water and Sanitation has reportedly been suspended by the municipality.
The incident, according to Gugu Sisilana, the city’s spokesperson, was just recently posted on social media.

The Water and Sanitation Unit of the city can confirm that the man in the video works there. While an internal investigation is being conducted, he has been given an immediate precautionary suspension.
Internal charges against the employee include theft of municipal property and improper use of a municipal vehicle.
” When the employee was discovered in possession of the electricity cables, he was not on official duty.” The police have also opened a criminal case.
