The Kobo Clara 2E e-reader is now available for a record-low price thanks to Amazon’s Black Friday sales. The Clara 2E is currently only$ 120 on Kobo and Amazon, down from its usual$ 140 price.
The excellent Kobo Clara 2E’s sticker price was reduced by$ 20 during Black Friday sales.
Amazon charges$ 120.
Engadget spent countless hours testing eight models from five different brands before settling on the Kobo Clara 2E as the most popular e-reader. Amy Skorheim of Engadget praised the Kobo’s intuitive design, IPX8 water resistance ( it can withstand submersion in two meters of water for 60 minutes ), warm light, and lack of advertisements despite being more expensive than the entry-level Kindles.
The device has a 6-inch touchscreen with adjustable brightness and warmth thanks to Kobo’s” ComfortLight Pro” branding. Its battery life is “weeks,” and it has 16GB of storage, which is sufficient for about 12,000 ebooks. Its onboarding process is enjoyable, and you can ask about your favorite books to help it improve its algorithmic recommendations and account setup. Even its Overdrive integration library lending feature, which is a rare company that alerts you to free alternatives to its digital products, is prodded in your direction. The borrowing procedure seemed to go without a hitch.
The Kobo Clara 2E offers the best reading experience, which is most important. Longer reading sessions are more comfortable thanks to the device’s textured back and light weight ( only six ounces ). Its front light, in our opinion, is the most paper-like of all the readers we’ve tested, and you can easily change the brightness by swiping your finger along the left edge of the screen. Of all the ereaders we tested, it was also the most touch-responsive. Even better, it has a quick wake-up feature that, without any additional taps or swiping past ads, jumps to the page you were last reading after pressing its button.
