On Monday, Kamal Vasram and Saliesh Indurjeeth, two JOHANNESBURG-Gupta associates, will visit the Pretoria Regional Court.
The two are accused of breaking the Exchange Control Act, International Trade Administration Act ( ITA ), and Customs and Excise Act as well as fraud.
The infamous Estina dairy farm project is related to this. This year’s trial began in March.
The pasteurization plant that was brought into the nation from India is the subject of the court’s case. Investigations indicate that the plant’s value was “excessively high,” despite the customs declaration stating that it was worth more than R37.7 million.
They also reveal that Gateway Limited, a United Arab Emirates-based business thought to be under the control of the Guptas, invoiced the plant.
The accused has entered a not-guilty plea to the charges brought against them in court.
A fifth witness is anticipated to testify on Monday, adding four witnesses to the witness list so far.
