A trucker who allegedly sold Eskom’s heavy fuel oil rather than delivering it to the utility’S Camden Power Station in Mpumalanga was detained by members of the NATJOINTS Energy Safety and Security Priority Committee.

42-year-old Phumlani Hadebe appeared in court on Tuesday on theft and fraud charges, according to SAPS spokesman Athlenda Mathe.

He was employed by a business Eskom had hired to deliver the oil to the Camden Power Station in Mpumalanga at the time of the crime.
He did n’t deliver it at all. Instead, he personally pocketed the money after delivering it to a private facility. He was located in Gauteng this week thanks to intelligence, and the police detained him.
