JOHANNESBURG- According to the Department of Home Affairs, every effort is made to help eligible voters who might need to gather identification over the weekend of voter registration.

Thousands of South Africans are anticipated to sign up for the voter roll on Saturday in order to cast ballots in the 2024 presidential election.

On Saturday and Sunday, 321 Home Affairs offices will be open for temporary ID applications and service ID collections from 8am to 5pm.

At least 135 000 uncollected ID documents were present at branches, according to Deputy Minister Njabulo Nzuza.

” I do n’t need an ID to register, so nobody should be telling me that.” We will issue you a temporary ID certificate if you visit the office, which you can use to register to vote.
