This week, the party published an online petition requesting that all South Africans who live, work, study, or travel abroad have easy access to more voting locations.

Next year, South Africans will cast their ballots.

While others can register and cast ballots at embassies and high commissions, the IEC launched an online registration portal this week for South Africans living abroad.

IEC urges South Africans to take advantage of the weekend voter registration.

While the online registration portal is welcomed, Kelly Clark, the director of DA International Communications, believes that voters should be able to cast ballots in a nearby city without incurring significant costs.

” We really need to make sure that there are more voting stations for South Africans abroad in addition to online registration.”
