In Pinetown, a suspected robber is killed and his accomplices are detained.

Following an attempted cash theft in Pinetown’s Westmead, two suspects have been detained.

Police claim that on Sunday, a security guard was attacked after stealing money from Goodwood Road’s cash and carry shop.

Two armed men attacked the guard as he approached the armored truck, according to a police report, in an effort to steal the money.

Security personnel and the suspects then started shooting at each other as a result.

The suspected robber was killed, one of them.

According to the police, a second injured man sprinted to their getaway car, where his accomplice was waiting.

Later, the two were taken into custody.
