The Star Class Mbombela Secondary School Champions League knockout round is the main focus now that four group stage matches have been completed and dusted. 22 secondary schools in the City of Mbombela participate in this tournament, which officially began on August 23.
There are four groups in the competition’s format. Each group’s top school advanced to the semifinals. After five competitive weeks in which 50 soccer games were played across all divisions, Hillaria Mthethwa Secondary School, Mayibuye Secondary Schools, Thembeka Secondary, and Fundinjobo Secondary school all placed first in their respective categories.
These four schools rattled their group stage rivals without suffering any losses, demonstrating how eager and long they had been for such a prestigious tournament.
We were hoping to see this. Yes, the four schools’ results are truly amazing, but more importantly, we want to thank all the schools, students, circuit representatives, and communities that supported all of our games, according to Star Class Entertainment CEO Innocent Magagula.
” Sport being the unifier, we decided to take this path when we began this project last year with the primary goal of bringing unity among all schools in the Ehlanzeni District.” We only hope that this project will produce more positive results after what we have already accomplished in just two years, according to Magagula.
