For the 2021 murder of his girlfriend in Standerton, Luthando Lungisa Zozo( 38) received a life sentence.
Brigadier Selvy Mohlala, a Mpumalanga police spokesman, claimed that Zozo was found guilty of killing Akhona Myolwa on June 15 by the High Court in Delmas. On Monday, October 2, the sentencing was administered at the Middelburg High Court Division.

” On the morning of October 5, 2021, Zozo fired six bullets at Myolwa while they were in a car.” Three of them struck Myolwa. She was later declared dead upon arrival at the hospital after he had driven her there. Zozo was arrested after the police were informed of the situation and an investigation was carried out. He was detained until his sentencing after being denied bail when he appeared in court.
Additionally, the accused appears for a mental observation report in Bushbuckridge Magistrates Court.
He was also deemed unfit to own a gun.
