BUENOS AIRES, Oct. 6 ( Reuters )- Cirque du Soleil debuted a show in Buenos Aires this week honoring adored Argentine football star Lionel Messi. The show mimics soccer moves and features an upbeat musical backdrop.
Audiences will have the chance to relive the feeling of Argentina’s World Cup victory in Qatar last year, which was fueled by their captains’ deft touch, in” Messi10 ,” which is named after his customary jersey number.
He resembles a brand-new superhero. Producer Diego Saenz compared the Argentine team shirt with the Messi 10 on the back to Superman’s cape during a rehearsal of the 15-country show.
According to the producer, the great man was involved in some of the Canadian circus company’s creative decisions, including the music selection and family-related highlights of his life.
Next year, the show will tour all of Latin America and most likely come to an end in Miami.
