At his Umlazi home earlier this year, Zwelakhe Ntombela had his private and military pistols shot and stolen.
In August, Hitman Mandlenkosi Ntombela received a 20-year prison term.
He linked the officer’s murder to Khulani Cele and Nongcebo, the policewoman who is currently incarcerated in Pietermaritzburg.

The two will stand in the Umlazi Magistrate’s Court today alongside the 53-year-old suspect, a school principal.
When Captain Ntombela passed away, he was 50 years old.
