A day after she filed a lawsuit accusing Sean Combs of rape and physical abuse, the two rappers have reached an “amicable” settlement, according to late Friday reports from US media.

The R&B performer, whose real name is Casandra Ventura, claimed in a lawsuit filed on Thursday that hip-hop artist Combs raped her in 2018 and forced her to use drugs and physical force for more than ten years.

The allegations have been refuted by a Combs attorney, also known as Puff Daddy or Diddy.

The New York Times and other US media reported that the parties agreed to resolve the case on Friday night, but they withheld the terms of the settlement.

In a statement released by US media, Ventura stated that” I have decided to resolve this matter amicably on terms that I have some degree of control.”

She continued,” I want to express my gratitude to my family, friends, and attorneys for their unwavering support.”

We have decided to resolve this matter amicably, Combs stated in a separate statement that was also reported by US media. I’m sending my best wishes to Cassie and her family. Love.

Ventura allegedly met Combs in 2005 when she was 19 and he was 37, according to her federal lawsuit, which was filed in Manhattan.

She was signed by him to Bad Boy Records, where she had success with songs like” Me & U.”

Additionally, they started dating.

According to court records, Combs was a violent man who allegedly filmed Ventura engaging in sex acts with male sexual workers during his violent outbursts.

According to the complaint, Combs and Ventura had dinner together in 2018 before he broke into her apartment and sexually assaulted her.

Ben Brafman, Combs ‘ attorney, “vehemently” denied the accusations, calling them “offensive and outrageous,” in an earlier statement to AFP.

Ventura was charged with blackmail by Combs, who claimed that her goal was to “tarnish” his reputation and collect money.
