Due to the storm that hit Mbombela just before 15 :00 today, November 21, the majority of the city’s roads were covered in debris.

One of the Anderson Street buildings had a roof that was blown off, reportedly injuring one person.

Due to some uprooted trees, only one lane is available on Bell Street and the R40 near the former showgrounds. On Riverside’s Waterfall Avenue, a tree had also been uprooted, but it has since been removed.

Martin Jeffrey of Emer-G-Med claims that during the storm, three motor vehicle accidents occurred in the area, leaving a total of nine people with minor injuries.

One accident happened at the intersection of Henshall and Branders streets, another happened on the R40 close to the Plaston turnoff, and the final accident also happened there.
