The most affordable Air EV trim yet has been unveiled by Lucid. The Lucid Air Pure now has a rear-wheel drive option that costs$ 77,400 to purchase. According to Lucid, this version completes its Air lineup and costs$ 5,000 less than the dual-motor all-wheel drive model.
The company hasn’t shirked in this area because it is well known for providing a wide selection of EVs. The Air Pure RWD has a 410-mile range when equipped with 19-inch wheels, according to the automaker. It received an even more generous 419-mile range estimate from the Environmental Protection Agency.
Lucid asserts that, aside from its own models, the Air Pure RWD has a wider range than any other electric vehicle on the market. The Lucid Air Grand Touring, which has an EPA-estimated range of 516 miles, tops the lineup.
Additionally, you won’t need to wait too long to recharge your battery by a charger. After less than 12 minutes of use, according to Lucid, the Air Pure RWD can extend its range by 150 miles.
According to the automaker, the EV has Lucid’s most compact battery pack to date, which helps give back seat passengers more room. Additionally, according to Lucid, this model is currently the most aerodynamic vehicle being produced.
Apple CarPlay, a 34-inch curved Glass Cockpit display, heated front and back seats and steering wheels, DreamDrive driver assistance systems, and the Lucid UX digital environment are all standard features of the Air Pure RWD. The Air Pure RWD lowers the entry requirement for those looking to board a Lucid EV, despite the fact that it is still an expensive car.
