Two severely injured in Durban North pit bull attack

Two people were seriously hurt in a pit bull attack in Durban North.

After her pit bull-cross-staffy mauled them on Monday night in Park Hill, it is believed that the homeowner and her domestic worker both suffered bite injuries.

A 54-year-old domestic worker who was cleaning the yard was attacked by a pit bull-cross-staffy, according to Kait Hagerman of the DRK EMS team that treated the victims.

The 55-year-old woman who lived in the house was trying to stop the dog from attacking when, regrettably, it turned on her.

Both victims ‘ arms and legs were repeatedly bit by dogs. The domestic worker is critically ill, and the owner is in a serious condition.

To help with the animal, the SPCA and the police were also summoned to the residence.
