Update: Following a break-in at SARU House, two men were detained for questioning.

Following the break-in at the SA Rugby offices in Cape Town, police have confirmed that two suspects have been detained for questioning in Gauteng.

Two men broke into the SA Rugby Union ( SARU) and auditing firm’s office complex on Tuesday, stealing 68 laptops, Rugby equipment, and high-end alcohol. Parow police responded to the call-out in Panorama.

Around 9 p.m., CCTV footage of the two men strolling around the SA Rugby offices was posted on social media site X.

Serious Violent Crimes ( SVC ) detectives are making progress, according to police spokesman Brigadier Novela Potelwa, and there will soon be arrests.

Two suspects have been detained in Gauteng as part of a thorough investigation that goes beyond the Western Cape’s borders, and they are currently being questioned in an effort to find the crime-takers.

The suspects will appear in court in Cape Town after being charged, Potelwa continued.
