By March 1st, 2024, WTM Africa is urging responsible tourism companies to submit entries for their Responsible Tourism Awards.

These yearly Awards, which are a significant highlight for WTM Africa, honor outstanding organizations, programs, and people who set the bar high with environmentally friendly practices.

According to Megan De Jager, Portfolio Director- Travel, Tourism &amp, RX Africa Marketing, the 2024 editions honor two decades of industry changemakers committed to leaving a lasting impression across the continent.

Do n’t pass up the opportunity to contribute to this illustrious legacy. The WTM Africa Responsible Tourism Awards welcome winners and even finalists with open arms, garnering widespread acclaim and recognition.

All applications will be reviewed by a panel of judges who are experts in six carefully chosen categories, including:

  1. Including travel in the plan
  2. promoting the diversity of cultures
  3. Positive nature
  4. How are you combating climate change?
  5. Increasing local sourcing and fostering mutual value
  6. Local communities are being hired and trained.

Each category’s gold winners will also have the chance to face off against Latin American and Indian finalists in the Global Responsible Tourism Awards. Five out of the eight categories were won by Africa’s responsible tourism champions this year.

Encourage someone you admire to submit an application, and do n’t be afraid to enter. De Jager concludes that they could receive a fantastic award for their efforts while also receiving the praise that goes along with it.

The deadline for submissions to the WTM Africa Responsible Tourism Awards 2024 is March 1st at 23 :59 ( SAST ). The WTM Africa website is where interested participants are encouraged to submit their applications.

Love to all.
